THE MOST IMPORTANT SPIRITUAL TEACHING…EVER!

The Most Important Spiritual Teaching … Ever!

Spiritual teachings actually say the same thing, again and again and again. The meaning only changes with experience, and then realisation occurs. The questioning is like a bell clanging, getting louder and louder: when it stops, the silence is deafening, and we wonder what we’ve been doing all our life.

When the Buddha said, “Don’t take my word for it; test it for yourself”, and Tulku Urgyen wrote, “Free in the moment of seeing”, they were both saying the same thing, again and again and again. This is the ultimate teaching. The teaching is not the truth; it is personal experience of the teaching that is the truth.

It isn’t a matter of worshipping the Buddha, Tulku Urgyen or our teacher. It’s a matter of experiencing what is meant.

“Don’t take my word for it.” “Be free in the moment of seeing.”
This is self-realisation.
To be aware that pure consciousness is naturally free
of a self image.

It doesn’t matter which teachings or retreats we’ve attended, or what we think we know or don’t know, the teachings are not the truth. The truth is that seeing for ourself is the moment of freedom. Our true self is pure consciousness that realises the games being played by the mind – everyone’s mind. The fake-knowledge. Ego realises the game is up, and it cannot hide any more!

That is the genuine, spontaneous realisation: the recognition of pure consciousness, which is called shunyata or emptiness. There is no teaching throughout the infinite universe that is more profound than that. All matter and thought are continuously changing and therefore have no constant reality: everything is impermanent. The universe, which is empty space, contains constantly changing matter which is made up of parts and, as such, has no permanent reality because everything arises due to causes and conditions.

Human beings can know the nature of the entire universe in one moment: no need for elaborate spaceships and elaborate temples.

When it comes to the truth,
we are constantly misled.

Don’t take anyone’s word for it.
Just see, and realise contentment.
