Fake News Is Incomplete Information
Fake: an imitation of the real thing.
Fake news is selective information.
All media selects their information for us to repeat.
News is incomplete truth; it’s a version of the truth. Truth is what sees, not what is seen.
It is the element of ‘truth’ that gives incomplete truth credibility. An imitation is being economical with the truth via deliberately obscure language. As news is a version of the truth, that allows another version to be presented, thus creating a complex picture that causes confusion and division.
Advertisers, politicians, religions, corporations, scientists – indeed, all of us – are selective with the truth. Anything we speak about is selective information, and it is for this reason that there are so many ‘spiritual’ groups or traditions, all claiming to speak the truth.
Ho, ho, here it comes again … ;D
The Buddha said,
“Do not take my word for truth; test it for yourself.”
Truth never takes sides.
Ultimate truth is pure perception.
Everything else is
a temporary illusion … fake … click bait … something to argue about …
Even the Buddha’s words are an imitation of the truth, which is our own genuine experience.
