NEVER DOUBT THE PRESENCE OF PURE CONSCIOUSNESS

Never Doubt The Presence of Pure Consciousness

We have never been separated from pure consciousness;
we have just been looking the other way.

Looking the other way and finding no satisfaction, we doubt. Due to doubt, we cling even more to our ‘graven images’ (our ideas) for safety and adorn these, while at the same time obscuring the clarity of pure consciousness. We obscure the truth of our own ultimate reality. We become bound and wound-up.

Realisation is just a matter
of unwinding the stress
caused by doubt.

  1. Ken says:

    Doubting pure consciousness is consciousness doubting itself, denying itself, believing the false through the vehicle of the real. Trying to find pure consciousness is liken to one with glasses on searching for their glasses! Its so close to you, you’re using the very thing you’re searching for to try and find it, thus every time you go looking you leave it. The belief that you’re lacking it in the first place is the delusion! What we pursue only serves to reinforce the belief that you’re missing it. What happens when you drop this belief? Awaken and be free.

    To realize is to see with “real-eyes”

    From The Zen Teachings Of Huang Po:

    “Suppose a warrior, forgetting that he was already wearing his pearl on his forehead, were to seek for it elsewhere, he could travel the whole world without finding it.”

    “Learn only how to avoid seeking for and attaching yourselves to anything.”

    “There is only the one reality, neither to be realized nor attained.”

    “Here it is–right now. Start thinking about it and you miss it.”

    “The ignorant eschew phenomena but not thought; the wise eschew thought but not phenomena.”
