MINDFULNESS, AWARENESS, ESSENCE AND COMPASSION

Mindfulness, Awareness, Essence and Compassion.

As we continue, refinement in understanding has to take place.

For some, mindfulness means moving slowly, observing every movement, while being mindful of one’s actions. This is excellent in knowing what the body is doing, and having the mind observe it. However, it is still in the realms of conceptuality – relative truth.

Mindfulness can also be used as a reminder, to be Aware. Once we are Aware, we can drop mindfulness. We use the mindfulness boat to get to the shore of Awareness: once we are at the shore, we can leave the boat behind. If we hang onto mindfulness, we are doing too much.

Awareness is cognisance, knowing, lucidity – and this too is the realm of conceptuality, which is relative truth. Essence is emptiness, pure clear inner space. This is absolute truth. This may not easy to get one’s ‘head’ around, but it is seen in experience: if we were just awareness, everything would seem solid and real. If we were just emptiness, we’d be spaced out!.

Awareness is relative truth. Emptiness is absolute truth. Together, they make up our being. These two aspects create a third – Compassion.

When Emptiness and Awareness are realised, a confidence arises. This confidence creates a joy, and joy is love. This is unconditional love, unconditional compassion, unlimited compassion.

This manifests in the world when Emptiness and Awareness are realised. Pure Awareness looks out and sees sentient beings suffering, because they do not recognise their true nature…which is Emptiness, Awareness and Compassionate. So compassion arises to works for benefit of others. But we cannot do the work for them!

Emptiness is Dharmakaya.

Awareness is Sambhogakaya.

Compassion is Nirmanakaya.

When the “I” comes into the picture, the emotions arise.

Emptiness is Dharmakaya: when the I is involved, Desire arises and fills empty space.

Awareness is Sambhogakaya: when the I is involved,  dislike and judgement arises.

Compassion is Nirmanakaya: when the I is involved, ignorance manifests as indifference, or not caring.

There are Nirmanakaya manifestations in our human realm who, out of compassion, point in the direction of our true nature. This may reveal themselves differently depending on the culture: these can be seen throughout history, and there are also many not so publicly known.  However, because this human realm is passing through the age of strife, egos want to tear these guides down as, to the ego (which is a mental acquisition), truth means annihilation.

This too may be refined, but it is as far as this author can go – at this moment!

All the very best to us,

Tony
