Desire and Frustration Create Addiction

 There are good and bad things happening in the universe,

which we cannot know or do anything about.

So there is no point worrying about them.

There are good and bad things happening in our country

which we will cannot know or do anything about.

So there is no point worrying about them.

There are good and bad things happening in our family,

which we cannot know or do anything about.

So there is no point worrying about them.

There are good and bad things happening in our minds,

which we can know and do something about.

So there is no point worrying about them.

We worry, because we fantasise.

Fantasy is wanting something we cannot find.

Desire and Frustration is the human condition.

Desire and Frustration is addiction!

 There will always be agreeing, arguing, hope and fear…that is the busy-ness of being human, an animal or an alien. And, this will never change as the universe is infinite.

 The only thing we can do something about is the state of our minds. We can know its true nature, and be happy. It may not change the universe, country or our family, even the buddhas cannot do that. However, it will change the way we see things, and open us up to our true potential. The moment we know the nature of our minds, we start to infuse every situation with compassion.

 I guess that is what the enlightened ones are doing, if we could only awaken and receive their blessing. Perhaps they too are a fantasy… but they do inspire.

 These blessing start us on a journey to understand the good and the bad things happening in the universe, and perhaps do something about them. All we need is the right intention, and our way is somehow made clearer!

 We have two natures – light and dark. If we listen to one, the universe gets better. If we listen to the the other, the universe gets worse.
