TAKING TIME OUT

Taking time out.

There are two aspects to this phrase: one is to take time out of our busy day to be kind to ourselves, and the other is beyond time, to take time out of the equation altogether.

We need time just to be. A quiet moment to allow the senses and mind to come to rest.

See without looking.

Hear without listening.

Be without being.

Just stay still and enjoy.

If it turns into serious shine practice, that’s okay, but the important thing is to take some time to relax in your own way. Note that all the senses are open, and thoughts will come…just say…“Later”. This is the start of taking your life back from all those things expected of you.

One really strange thing I have found is that, even in a busy day of being there for others, we are given time to ourselves…marvellous!

Now we come to the other aspect of timelessness…beyond time. The concept of time only relates to things that change: planets, seasons, bodies, and consciousness. There are two non-things that do not have time: space and essence. Outer space and inner space. And neither of these alter: they are permanent in their non-thing-ness!

It doesn’t matter what you do to the space in front of you – nothing can disturb it. It’s the same with essence. Essence is uncontaminated cognisance, pure sacred open spaciousness. It’s where love comes from!

You may want to call this God. That’s okay. But without your own loving awareness, God would never be known!

Take time out to love once in a while…if not more often.

Memorial Day Greetings to you Tony, It was a perfect day for sitting at the pond just observing everything and nothing in particular. Could not avoid thinking about my mentors that have passed away and no longer around…. tears of gratitude for the irreplaceable loss .

    Hello Rob,
That gratitude is the continuous connection.
I truly believe we are all mentors for one another.
Love is a two edged sword, joy and sadness.

What is wonderful is our karmic connections!
