THE PROBLEM WITH THE WORLD

The Problem with the World.

By the year 2013
the world should have worked out all its problems.
But it’s a mess.
Why?

Keeping it a mess is good for business.
The problems have been worked out many times,
but when a new person is given charge
they take an alternative view
to make ‘their’ mark
….pity!

 Confusion is business as usual.

(Over populated? No, just badly organised on purpose.)

Yes, it’s good for business! This obsession with change, with “improvement”, with “evolving” is what keeps us all trapped in the cycle of samsara. It means there is always something new coming along to catch our eye…and so we keep begin distracted. If things were allowed to remain stable for a while, just maybe people would have an opportunity to stop, take a breath and review their life.
I have worked in the field of education for many years, and I’m old enough now to smile ruefully with the latest “initiative” is introduced: it invariably contradicts the current rule of law, and mirrors something from years ago that’s been dragged out of the dusty trunk in the attic, given a brush down and flourished around as something sparklingly brand new. And of course, there are always enough less experienced people around to be impressed – I know, because years ago, I was one of them…
The need for employees (in the higher ranks) to bring something new to the job, and to have a detailed career plan puts immense pressure on them – and on the people with whom they work.
    It’s crazy.
    And it’s desperately sad.

      I empathise entirely.
The science and art of drawing and painting has been hijacked by old mattresses which actually gets museum space!?

We get food for profit, instead of food for health. We get “environmental enforcement officers” who look more and more like soldiers, instead of peace officers.

It’s all about greed and de-humanising the world. If the goal post are kept moving, people will lose the direction
of where the ball should go!

The outcome of all this is stress and a sick society. When people as so distressed they won’t see what is going on.

It is so important for people to wake up and use their common sense which is disappearing fast.

      Yes it is sad,

In past half century I’ve witnessed society change from having common sense, critical thinking abilities, and morals, go from being common and honorable traits to be aspired to………Nowadays possessing those very same personal traits gets your name put on the “Terrorist Watch List “

Life has certainly changed Rob. The new generation don’t even notice all the surveillance going on, as they are happy with their latest gadget.

We need courage to stick to what we value.

      All the best,
      Tony
