A Sympathetic Understanding

 When we have a sympathetic understanding
of causes and effects (karma),
we become
the lord of compassion.

 Since beginningless time
beings have endured unbearable suffering
due to mis-understanding.

 When we have a sympathetic understanding
of causes and effects (karma),
we evolve,
never to return to mis-understanding.

 May we all have a sympathetic understanding
of the unendurable pain
of the person next to us.
