WHY ARE WE CONFUSED?

Why Are We Confused?

We believe in a self-construct which has absolutely no truth about it, so we’re living a lie. This is why we cannot live in peace and harmony with others who also believe in their self.

We are confused by being confounded (Latin confundere: ‘pour together, mix up’). Self is a complex mixture of ideas and attachments which we employ as we perform our routine every day, maintaining our image. All the while, pure consciousness looks on, and is transfixed.

We are this pure consciousness free of complexity, but we ignore it because we’re caught up in the complex mixture of our and others’ attachments. These attachments are not the truth; they are the made-up rules of engagement, an arrangement of obligations.

This is the essence of our confusion, discomfort and fallibility, and is the reason why we are not totally confident. When a lie is promoted over truth and truth is criminalised, we know that something doesn’t feel right, but we don’t know what it is. It’s then when we become that lie.

In truth, we are not confused.
We merely believe we are.

It’s a very clever trick that results in acquiescence to others’ standards.
Trick: a cunning act or scheme intended to deceive or outwit someone.
