Truth Is Individual Endeavour
Realising the truth of our reality is an individual endeavour. When a group gets involved, it turns into a religion, with committees and interpretations. They talk about the truth, creating rituals and symbols, and poems, and songs, and buildings, and art … and it’s all a smoke-screen to create and maintain a culture.
When we ask the questions, What am I doing? Why do I think the way I think? we reach the moment of self doubt. This is an instant of total confusion. It is here that we either become depressed and withdrawn, or we step into a new way of life by seeing through the smoke-screen that’s been obscuring the strings which are pulling us.
We’re not condemning groupthink, as we have to experience it to see it. This is a sort of spiritual boot camp that throws all sorts of emotional garbage at us.
It is here when we go on alone, because we’ve toughened up
and are ready for anything. 🙂
Self-realisation has never been a group project.
Group projects are expensive – in more ways than one.
