Why Nobody Knows What They Are

What we truly are is purposely kept from us by Mara, the creator of the illusions which we recreate. Mara spreads the ‘news’; we spread the word.

Even if we see the illusions – the deceptions out there – that isn’t the illusion. The illusion stays in the mind, creating our bias. We already have inclinations, and Mara expands on these. Whatever deceptions we are allowed to see isn’t the complete picture. Mara wants us to react and stay reactive because, when we react, we’re caught in the net of running commentaries.

Mara fears people having knowledge of good and evil. It has done so for thousands of years – in fact, for ever. When we know the difference between good and evil, we’re on the path to enlightenment, and this is the last thing Mara wants.

Pundits can talk about enlightenment for us to discuss,
but the actual path is in silent awareness.

Mara is the intention to deceive, utilising self’s emotions of likes and dislikes. When we do realise that we are not those ideas, we start our path to liberation. Mara hates that we might find out what we truly are, which is pure consciousness. It doesn’t understand enlightenment as there is nothing for it to gain. 

Mara lurks within every sentient mind 
– we are all a balancing act of Mara and Enlightenment.

Mara rules by consent
as it knows that we have free will.
