THE MIND CAN BE A WONDERFUL THING

The Mind Can Be A Wonderful Thing

The mind is a wonderful thing,
if we use it properly.

The essence of mind is pure consciousness or empty cognisance. Memories are stored there, and therefore we (consciousness) can scan this library for information.

Our problem is the quality of information which we put into the mind and then hold on to. This claiming becomes our fixations that limit perception. The mind has to be clear in order to scan without bias to connect to deeper thoughts. The mind has all the answers that consciousness can verify.

In Sanskrit, there is a facility in the mind called Manas; the Greeks called it Hermes, and the Romans, Mercury – the messenger. We can ask the mind to bring up information, and if the answer doesn’t suit, we ask again.

Never fixate on answers as there are deeper levels. The ultimate answer is that we are pure consciousness, and anything else is an illusion – but realising illusions helps us on the path to enlightenment. We can play with them as long as we don’t become bound.
