ABSOLUTE REALITY CANNOT FEEL INSULTED

Absolute Reality Cannot Feel Insulted

Absolute reality cannot feel insulted;
it is only our pride that can be insulted.

Pride is excessive self-esteem; it is our weakness, and eventually, our downfall.

Proverbs 16:8 – “The highway of the upright leads away from evil; he who guards his way protects his life. Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. It is better to be lowly in spirit among the humble than to divide the spoil with the proud … ”

If we are too confident about our abilities, something will happen that shows that us that we’re not as good as we think. The last thing pride wants to hear is that self is an illusion, and that we’ve spent our entire life in arrogance. In Tibetan terminology, this is the god realm, where we think we are at the summit, but all we’ve achieved is an enlightened ego, which is consciousness clinging to ideas in the mind.

Reality can never be insulted as there is nothing to defend.
The Buddha wasn’t pushing ideas;
he was showing that which experiences those ideas.
