Humour
Humour – mental disposition of appreciation – happiness.
Humourless – mental disposition of being unable to appreciate – unhappiness.
When we lack humour, we are homeless and uncomfortable.
Conversely, in good humour, we feel at home, and are confident with whatever arises.
What is being ‘at home’?
Home is our original state of pure consciousness.
It’s able to appreciate all because it is without bias.
It is the Middle Way.
We can even appreciate evil, as evil shows us our reactions that cause bias.
Good humour keeps us in check and in control, when we don’t lose our mental disposition to emotions such as fear and pride, and our position remains stable in good humour.
