The Dharma Has To Be Hard Hitting
If the Dharma isn’t hard hitting, it won’t directly cut through our fixations, revealing the ultimate truth of our reality. Watering-down dilutes the Dharma into pleasing speculation, and weakens original experience.
Watered-down Dharma is second-hand words. When we realise the real Dharma, it is first-hand, coming from the original source of spontaneous presence – direct seeing – pure consciousness.
Influencers assume authority on their platform,
and enjoy a ‘rich’ life.
Insignificant people experience the rawness of life,
and can realise the ultimate truth.
The Buddha gave up his rich life and became a mendicant – a bodger – someone who accepts whatever is available, such as dissatisfaction or suffering. Everything that comes our way is significant – karmic – serendipitous – spontaneous.
Dharma isn’t about something learnt and acquired.
It’s hard hitting because it destroys the pride in ego-clinging.
