Indoctrination Muddies The Water
Indoctrination is Mara activity.
I once spoke with someone about consciousness, saying that we didn’t have consciousness, but that we wereconsciousness. All he wanted to know was where consciousness came from. This showed an indoctrination – a residue of the God theory. He couldn’t get past that we are consciousness, here and now.
We meditated together to just be, but he was expecting something more. That was the indoctrination of miracle stories. When we’re stuck in concepts (words), we deflect from actually experiencing, as the simple experience destroys all the concepts that we like, and prefer to play with.
Concepts are always borrowed, such as the one that we are ‘shards of universal consciousness’ (God). That concept could be true, but if it doesn’t change the way we behave, what sort of universal consciousness are we talking about? Universal Mara consciousness? 🙂
Through the power of suggestion, we become lazy,
and thus we forget the we are Buddhas in the mud.
