THE DHARMA ISN’T WORKING :-)

The Dharma Isn’t Working 🙂

Buddhism is the religion. It’s about precepts, bells, chanting, texts, meditation … the maintenance of form which is a precursor to the Dharma. If we like following precepts, chanting, ringing bells, studying, meditating, that’s okay – but we are doing something that occupies consciousness.

The Dharma – which can never be destroyed and so is timeless – is ever-present pure consciousness where we do nothing but be aware … the essence of being. It is the completion stage of practice – or it should be. But doing something can become more important than silent awareness where true compassion lies.

The essence of meditation is noticing attachment and dropping it. That is the work, but we aren’t doing anything. Our attachment to the things that come our way is our path to enlightenment, observing without following or reacting.

In Buddhism, we can argue about this or that approach,
but in the Dharma of pure consciousness,
there can be no disagreement.

Let go.
