Words Are Code
Words convert thoughts into messages. Those words are then decoded and interpreted. This is how communication happens.
It’s the interpretation that is the problem, because of our limited ideas about those words which downgrades communication into set patterns of thought and speech. We therefore rarely say anything worthwhile – we just talk, making sounds.
Words need to be verified, which means questioned. What does that person mean, and why are they saying it? This refines the code and our understanding, improving ability to communicate at a higher level, which improves our mental health.
Whatever is unsaid tells us more.
