What Is Success?
It is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.
We need an aim or a purpose for success.
If there is no aim or purpose, there’s no success.
Without a purpose, we’re just running, but we aren’t actually getting anywhere. The secret to success is a sense of direction. It helps us decide which opportunities to say yes to and, more importantly, which to decline. Once we achieve our aim or purpose, what then? We refine our understanding.
Resilience and discipline are needed when things get difficult, and a sense of the right direction provides the mental strength to keep going. We do need to stop now and again to appreciate the little details.
Without a goal, we can’t measure progress. Activity is often mistaken for achievement. Stop searching, start realising.
What if we don’t feel successful?
Satisfaction is often brief. If our aim is based on societal expectations, family pressure, or looking good, the achievements will feel hollow because they don’t resonate with our authentic nature as we may be achieving goals that aren’t actually ours. We need to stand back and ensure that our goal aligns with what truly matters to us.
Exploring the deeper roots of depression or anxiety is the start of conscious awakening.
Wherever we are provides the perfect condition for progress.
