WE CANNOT NOT COMMUNICATE

We Cannot Not Communicate

Silence communicates a message, an invisible barrier that we all feel. It can be genuine communication, but usually, silent head-butting speaks volumes.

There are two aspects to silent head-butting: in the animal world, it is a gesture of trust, affection, and connection, while in the human world, it is the opposite, indicating mistrust, non-affection, and disconnection.

We hesitate to speak because we feel inadequate, and fear being judged or rejected. Communication becomes a learned phobia where past negative experiences make sharing feelings unsafe, so we distance ourselves and withdraw through inner anxiety.

How do we break this cycle of ignoring? Actually, we can only really communicate with those who feel the same way as us but, as we feel outside the box – as do they – we never actually meet. 🙂

Along with this invisible barrier,
there is an invisible openness between people
– a longing to communicate which is rarely acknowledged.
