The spiral or golden ratio scales up and down, it is the interplay of attraction and repulsion, provides a profound understanding of how the universe and the mind function.

These not just as physical forces, but as the primary drivers of existence.
The three poisons – the engine of Samsara – power the human experience, and are built on the tension between two forces, with a third acting as inert matter/ignorance.

Attraction: greed, attachment, or the pull towards what we perceive as pleasurable.
Repulsion: anger, aversion, or the push away from what we perceive as painful.
Ignorance: the lack of clarity allowing attraction and repulsion to happen in the first place.

Empty space, where everything takes place, is a state of infinite potential. Non-duality is two sides of the same coin, interdependent and inseparable.

The Fibonacci sequence represents a perfect proportion. If we are constantly pulled by attraction or pushed by repulsion, we are in a state of suffering (dukkha).

The golden equilibrium is the ability to exist in a state of equanimity, a point of perfect balance where we are no longer a victim of the universal push and pull.

Buddhism teaches dependent origination, and that nothing exists in isolation. Attraction cannot exist without repulsion. Matter cannot exist without space to hold it.


In this view, the laws of survival are not a mystery. They are is simply the unmanifested aspect of reality that provides room for the dance of attraction and repulsion to take place.
