When We Pay Attention, The Mind Is Silent
This is meditation; mindful meditation.
It’s natural, isn’t it?
When the mind is still, consciousness is still, and that is empty, cognisant space. We are ready to realise the truth that we are consciousness, pure consciousness. This has exotic names – Rigpa, Dzogchen, Mahamudra, Tao, Maha Ati, Zen, Advaita, God – when all it is is what we are.
Pure awareness with no name. No this as opposed to that.
We don’t have to be scholars to realise this; it’s being aware without ‘I’ expectations. Consciousness is more than just the result of chemicals in the brain.
The point of life is to realise what ‘life’ is. It’s pure consciousness embodied in a form and environment that is appropriate to its understanding.
All that glitters isn’t gold – gold is a pure heart.
When we chase after the exotic, we lose reality.
Focus stills the mind, revealing pure conscious awareness.
