The Four Noble Truths.
1.Recognise dissatisfaction.
2. Recognise the cause for that dissatisfaction.
3. Recognise the principles that untie dissatisfaction.
4. Having recognised the principles, watch the snake untie itself.
The Four Noble Truths, in more detail.
1.
Dissatisfaction implies that
we naturally know something.
It’s innate.
2.
We know there is a cause
but are confused about what this is.
We know we are holding onto a mistaken view.
This is the cause of our dissatisfaction.
3.
Knowing we are not clear, we seek clarity.
We need a complete system
to dissolve the obscurations
to that clarity.
4.
When we are convinced, through testing,
that the system is sound,
we resolve to never give up.
