COMPOS MENTIS

Compos Mentis
Having full control of one’s mind.

Normal
Conforming to a standard.

Conventionally, we conform to a standard set for us. This conforming controls the mind to stay within limits – ‘normal compos mentis’. We consent to self imprisonment. We repeat words and phrases, and therefore ideas. These neurolinguistics affect the structure and functioning of the brain, and therefore how we see things. This has a hypnotic effect, inducing a sleeping consciousness that loses the power of voluntary action and becomes highly responsive to suggestion.

In other words, we become highly addicted. 3.9 billion people on earth (half the planet) are addicted to football* – and that’s just football!

Insane statement
“I am normal, therefore I am in control of my mind.”

Sane statement
“Awareness, aware of itself, wakes up.”
