MEDITATION BRINGS YOU OUT OF YOURSELF

Meditation Brings You Out Of Yourself

Meditation brings you out of yourself.
😀

When sitting in silent awareness,
there is just pure cognisance.
We call this pure consciousness.
No duality is required:
observation is without identifying an observer.

Hi Tony, D. T. Suzuki said, in defining enlightenment, “It could be said to be habitual intuition.” Alan Watts responded to the Suzuki statement by affirming it out of his own experience, and adding, “And initiated people look at enlightened/intuitive people and say they are “lucky.” If we were living to be intuitive instead of living to be enlightened, what would we do differently? And would it seem to others that we were also “lucky”?

      Hello Jim,
An interesting question which brings up other questions.

‘Lucky’ could be synonymous with fortunate or talented, where we instinctively know something.

It could be a feeling of done-it-before – some things feel very familiar.

‘Spiritual’ teachings may seem attractive, but not quite right. Why?

To recognise is to re-know something. Lucky is also synonymous with good karma.

Being lucky or talented could also become a trap.

The more we realise the truth of our pure being, the more we have to be careful of our conduct so not to lord it over others.

There is a constant feeling of inspiration of how things come together and fall apart.

So enlightenment is the constant clarity of emptiness which allows all inspiration and intuition to manifest.

In essence, we are pure awareness, but this manifests in different ways according to the individual and period we live in.

Your question brings out much to contemplate!

      Tony
