SORT YOUR SELF OUT

Sort Your Self Out

Sort your self out
– otherwise, your self will sort you out.
🙂

No one else is going to do this for you.

The idea of self – a me – is a concept in the mind. What observes this self is consciousness, the cognisant empty essence of mind, which can be called pure consciousness. When consciousness identifies with the ‘me’ concept, it becomes imprisoned by thoughts, using attachment to ideas in order to feel special.

When we realise we are this pure consciousness, the attachment to thoughts loosens, and gradually brings an end to our karmic prison.

Thoughts still arise, but they are no longer our prison guards, our controllers. This is why we must be very careful about what we cling to in the mind. If we fill our mind with fantasies, we become the fantasy.

When we are in the right frame of mind, these ideas and feelings become our teacher and guide.

‘Self-taught’ takes on a new meaning; instead of this self programming us, it becomes our reminder of how we are being distracted.
