We See When We Are Ready To See
We see when we are ready to see
– and that can be at any moment, even right now.
When we stop looking for something interesting and just see, we realise the clarity of divine splendour beyond the conventional. We no longer fall for the tricks of Mara – the trouble makers.
There are two truths: relative and absolute. Relative truth is the way in which we relate to phenomena.
Absolute truth is just being, before we start relating, judging, finding fault, and making trouble. 🙂
It is the conflicts in the world (Mara’s tricks) that ignite our path to enlightenment. We see the two truths as a unity – seeing a negativity brightens the mind. This is why evil can never totally succeed.
The first noble truth of the Buddha was seeing suffering – seeing troubled minds.
The second is realising the cause of that suffering – seeing a self-image at work.
The third is finding the transformation that relieves suffering – seeing how it works.
The fourth? Just seeing.
We see when we are ready to see.
