COMPOS MENTIS – NON-COMPOS MENTIS

Compos Mentis – Non-Compos Mentis

There are two types of people.

Compos mentis is a Latin phrase meaning of sound mind. It describes an individual who has full control over their mental faculties.

Non-compos mentis describes someone who is not the master of their own mind.

If we merely repeat what others say, we are not in control of our mind.
To be in control of our mind, we must choose our words mindfully.

We start by avoiding the word ‘I’ as it’s an imaginary projection, and the cause of mental suffering.
