Doubt And Confidence
Confusion can arise in our mind when we have either too much doubt or too much confidence.
Too much doubt inhibits progress as we overthink something, and too much confidence hinders progress as we rely on past assumptions rather than what we are experiencing.
The answers are always in front of us, whether we like it or not. We just don’t need to panic. 🙂 In creating space and time to review a situation, an answer will pop up if we have the patience for brain and mind to adjust.
Wisdom is knowing that doubt is present. It’s the ability to step outside our thoughts and observe them without judgement. Healthy doubt is a caution mechanism. The trouble only starts when we mistake our assumptions for absolute truth.
In wisdom, we simply ask our mind what and why.
The practice of releasing fixations is exactly how resilience is built. Pure consciousness has no doubts, and nor does it lack confidence. It just sees. Remaining in the space of cognisant emptiness, something always occurs, creating the release of little eureka moments.
