REACTING

Reacting.

When the house is on fire,

our habitual patterning

will govern what we do.

There are three ways of viewing our reactions: through Body, Mind and Spirit. We have to be aware of what is happening within us:

Our primitive brain is wired to react in order to protect our body.

Our self-programmed mind reacts to protect our mental picture of ourself.

Our self image reacts and obscures our pure essence by maintaining an artificial reality (the cause of all our problems).

Reacting will depend on the level at which we are working. Reacting, projecting, predicting maintains the type of world in which we desire to live. If we are easily spooked…we are easy to spook! Often just saying one word to a neighbour and off they go, projecting and protecting their world!

The world in which we live is created by our own likes and dislikes. We just so happen to be living in a world full of people who are living in their own worlds, with their own likes and dislikes. Although we cannot change them, we can, at least, change our own reactions. It’s important to remember that a reaction is just a reaction: it’s not who we are. A reaction is an expression which can reflect self-programmed-ness, or a process of de-programming-ness.

Most of us are not rare super-humans who can change the world. We live in a country with certain norms. We work for a company or industry that operates in a certain way. We live with neighbours who are a certain type. We are born into a family that has a certain attitude…and we cannot just change of these. But we also do not ignore them: we can find a way to avoid over-reacting and conform…to a certain degree. This is being skilful, and it creates space. We all need space, other wise we will become involved in arguing all day long.

Maybe the Kali Yuga is a period when the majority on the planet is selfish? It will only change when we change. We have to want to change, and we have to see the value of changing. It’s in the winter that buds are ready for the spring,

We can gain control over a situation by controlling our reactions. This does not mean that we do not do anything: we can apply wisdom. If we touch a hot iron, we can drop it. If someone calls us names. we can drop it. If our mind is full of chattering thoughts. we can drop them. This does not affect our awareness.

As a fencer, I learnt not to react, but to wait and just watch. Then the instructions would reveal themselves.

If we do not know what to do, at least we are not making the situation worse! There are many people in this world whom we would like to hit on the head with a pillow, but it would do no good…and whom would we leave out?!

However bad the world might seem, we have to start with ourselves first. Knowing who we are – before a reaction – is the sane way. Then maybe we can find an intelligent way to deal with it.

It’s a spooky world

Full of spooks

Spooking those

Who would be spooked!

another thought/perspective on reactions….Dan Winter, the energy/ frequency specialist stated –before you react to a situation always stop and think how it will effect your personal aura, will your decision grow/enhance it or will it diminish/negatively effect and shrink it.
Another little thing that just clicked in my mind when heard it !

    Hello Rob,
That’s a very good question to ask oneself. If we become foggy, how will that help anyone?

    Yours,
    Tony
