To Whatever Happens…
Sometimes, the mind is lost in one of the six realms*.
Sometimes, the mind is without thought.
Sometimes the mind is depressed.
Whatever happens,
know this to be a product of karma – self programming.
To whatever happens, pure awareness rests openly,
merely acknowledging,
producing no karma – no self programming.

*Pride, jealously, desire, ignorance, stupidity, hatred.
Very wise words indeed, but very hard to know the pure awareness. Especially when lost in the six realms or just as a being in samsara generally.
Hello empty pot half full,
It is interesting to read the words – “…very hard to know, pure awareness…” and it is a very important point!
Pure-emptiness and awareness are two elements that make up our essential nature. They are inseparable, they are the two truths – relative and absolute in union.
All sentient beings are aware, for without that nothing would be known. This is our relative conventional existence.
When (through meditation) this awareness looks into itself it finds nothing, it’s empty. Finding no thing is pure emptiness.
It is then that pure awareness is recognised. Uncontaminated It has been there all the time.
Whatever happens pure awareness merely notes.
Pure awareness is the middle way.
If awareness forgets emptiness then everything seems real and solid – eternalise.
If emptiness forget awareness we become spaced out- nihilism.
Pure awareness is our natural state. The challenge is all those distraction in the six realms!

– These words should be written above the entrance of practice centres. You have a great skill at clarity of expression. Thanks.
“pure awareness….produces no karma – no self programming” – You really should write a book. I’m looking forward to exploring your blog further 🙂
Hello silver tongue poetess,
