There Is No Goal To Reach

There is no goal to reach
There is merely an uncovering,
through discovering and realising that,
in practicality,
there is nowhere else to go.

The goal is nowhere but here, now.
It is the presence of pure awareness.

This uncovering releases us from our ideals and idols
that obscure pure awareness.

Our imagined goal
We hold in mind an ideal
to satisfy our concept of what perfect is;
as personified by our idol,
and existing only in our imagination.

This concept of ‘I’ and ‘heaven’
– though desirable and perfect –
is not the reality.

The Dharma is truly practical
Resolving that reality
can only be
conscious awareness now.

The future will always be now!
