Mastering Our Thoughts

Mastering our thoughts is being free of others’ thoughts which master us, and this is the secret of a contented life, free from the anxiety of others’ exaggerations. The master is pure consciousness, while the slave is social consciousness, full of insecurities.

In silent contemplation, we realise that our ordinary social life is an enslavement, and is the reason why we feel anxious and incomplete. Wisdom is simply consciousness free of attachments, so we can focus on what is actually necessary in order to deal with life’s ups and downs.

When we focus, we are free of worry.
This is why meditation is relaxing.

If we are not working with how our mind works,
there can be no liberation.
