Ego Is The Devil Incarnated
Ego is consciousness clinging and fixating on ideas.
If the devil represents separation, pride, fear and conflict, then the human ego fits that description perfectly. When looked at through non-dual view, the ego functions exactly like the traditional concept of the devil.
The devil-ego is the master of lies. Its primary is telling us that we are an isolated fragment separated from others. Ego desires validation, and constantly seeks control in order to feel secure, chasing temporary pleasures that never satisfy.
Thriving on conflict, the devil-ego creates an us-versus-them mentality, as it needs an enemy to define itself. It’s that harsh inner critic which generates guilt, shame and judgement toward itself and others.
