Self-Aware Or Self-Conscious?
Dropping the judgement or creating it?
Being self-aware means that we can step back and observe ourself like an objective outsider.
Being self-conscious means that we are painfully aware of being evaluated. That creates a loud inner critic that assumes everyone else is focused on our flaws, making us feel uncomfortable and anxious by being preoccupied with how we look or what others think of us.
One expands our emotional intelligence
while the other triggers anxiety.
Self-awareness is the pure observation of pure consciousness.
