Realising Something Is Wrong
We realise we were wrong in following others
because we were just following a trend.
We think that following others is a short cut to the goal. Everyone assumes the person in front of them knows where they’re going; a good look doesn’t mean that there is any substance to it.
Recognising that form is overriding essence is a major breakthrough in our personal growth – even if it feels uncomfortable right now.
The illusion of certainty is when we see a group moving with confidence, and we naturally assume that they have information we lack. Upon investigation, however, it’s clear that they’re just more people being people. 🙂
When we join spiritual groups, do we see maturity and stability? Spiritual teachings often refer to illusions, but conformity perpetuates those illusions.
The most important teaching is, “Don’t believe a word; test it for yourself”.
