Earth: The History Of Evil
Throughout history, humanity has been warned that evil is not just a concept from the past, but a recurring theme that thrives on action, inaction and indifference today.
Not paying attention to the past allows people to repeat indifference. We don’t learn from the past, but evil does. Evil is our ignorance.
Our history can be summarised as a bloodstained ledger. Human civilisation has only been at peace for 268 years – out of the last 3,400 years.
In the peaceful years in between, the build up of persuasion and division created periods of tension that instigated a climate of fear in order to justify war.
This is the age of conflict, when every encounter with others has subtle disagreements written into it. When we become aware of this, we learn to hold our peace, especially in moments of anxiety.
The history of Earth is one of constant reaction; people don’t evolve but become, rather than simply be.
When truth is written in words and we adhere to those words,
we lose the essence of being, beyond words.
Words are distractions in plain sight.
