Buddhism: Necessity Is The Mother Of Truth

Did the Buddha actually say that?
Er … no, but that’s what he meant 🙂

When we see the necessity
– our suffering and the suffering of others –
we are motivated to discover the cause, and bring it to an end.

Need can go one of two ways;
either to create and become more needy,
or to realise the cause of neediness.

If we need a constant ‘parent’ to tell us what to believe,
we will never grow up.
