WHEN COFFEE TURNED INTO A PUDDING

When Coffee Turned Into A Pudding

… when people prefer a good story to actual simple experience.

You know there’s mischief afoot when spirituality is exaggerated and over-engineered – where the coffee bean is just a footnote. 🙂

The path to enlightenment needs friction or challenge. When life is reduced to smooth gratification, the capacity to sit with discomfort, think critically or challenge authority – the Buddha did – starts to atrophy.

Ultimately, wrapping the supramundane in fiction ensures that people stay passive and predictable, becoming fully integrated into the machinery of spiritual consumerism.

When fantasies are adopted as a global norm, people identify to fit the trend, and are rewarded for falling into line as they feel they are members of an exclusive club. Compliance is rebranded as the in-crowd.

The entire system functions exactly like the carrot dangling in front of the donkey as a perpetual incentive to keep walking without ever reaching the destination. Compliance is worn as a badge of honour, while we remain unaware that our motivation is being entirely manufactured. We become devoted to the carrot – the aim – but we never arrive at realisation.

By transforming spirituality into an aesthetic game, the dream world ensures that we willingly and enthusiastically buy yet another cup of pudding, while calling it coffee.

Realisation is not a group realisation.
The destination is genuine compassion.
