What Are We Purifying?
We’re purifying the mind.
This is our purpose in life.
Our mind is cluttered with ideas which contaminate perception. We see through a dark lens. Purifying is letting go of acquired thoughts, and just being. For most of us, this will sound boring as we want something special to do – and that brings the contamination.
Life is a testing ground to experience experience, without holding on to anything. This testing ground is also a trap of hope and fear, and we have to realise what we are to transcend it.
All sentient beings have a good heart, but they’re silly with it.
The word ‘silly’ originally meant happy or blessed. Over centuries, its meaning shifted from innocent to pitiable, and eventually to foolish.
The purpose of life is to transform a foolish heart into a good heart.
