The Mirror, Mind Essence, Pure Consciousness

It’s all the same.

We are the pure essence of consciousness which acts like a mirror to all phenomena, both internal and external. Pure consciousness reflects everything, and holds on to nothing. When we hold on to ideas, they becomes memories – the programming in the mind that then colours any further perception.

Our purpose in life is to delete this programming. It doesn’t mean that we don’t know anything; we just know, without thought. As an example: we see a bird or a cloud in the sky. Consciousness knows what it is, so we don’t have to name it and store it away for reference … but we do anyway. We’re proud of our naming, but the problem is that once we name, we stop looking.

Another example: we can say that we are emptiness, Shunyata, Dharmakaya, but the experience of these words is wordless.

Realisation of this changes our world as we see all the obstacles, but now they are teachings.
