How Can We Go Forward … ?
How can we go forward
if we don’t know which way we’re facing?
We can’t take it for granted that we know which way or path is right. If we follow words, we have to know what’s meant by them. As an example, the word ‘compassion’ manifests in different ways – heaven or hell.
Compassion is the response to witnessing suffering, combined with an authentic desire and motivation to help alleviate that pain. It represents a deep human capacity to connect with others during difficult moments.
If, however, it’s just a concept, we can imagine that we feel compassion but still do nothing about it. This is compassion from afar, and it’s quite common. 🙂
Compassion can either serve as the social glue that holds communities together with all their neuroses, or it can help us to break out of the sticky mud of concepts.
How do we know when we are free?
When we are aware of being stuck.
Really?
Only then do we have a choice.
