DID YOU GET WHAT YOU CAME FOR?

Did You Get What You Came For?

Did you get you came for?
Or did you just follow others’ desires?

Some of us feel that this life isn’t right. That feeling is the question we want answered. We were – and are – led to believe in this and that, working very hard and never knowing what we’re supposed to be.

That feeling could be a terma – something placed in the mind long ago. In the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, a terma is a hidden teaching or treasure left behind by enlightened masters like Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche).

While some treasures are hidden physically in rocks or caves, the most profound are mind termas.

It is said that the master plants realisation directly into the pristine, essential nature of the disciple’s mind. Centuries later, when that disciple reincarnates as a treasure revealer, the teaching spontaneously erupts into their conscious mind during deep meditation. It isn’t learned from a book; it is recovered from the mind itself.

There is more to us than meets the mind.
