How Do You Know You Aren’t Brainwashed?
The moment when you realise that you are.
🙂
The paradox of psychological conditioning is that we can’t truly know that we’re brainwashed until the precise moment we begin to realise that we are. “Oh, they want me to believe this!?”
A fully conditioned mind experiences that conditioning as absolute, unshakeable truth and not as propaganda. “I know because it says so in a book”. The moment a doubt creeps in, or we begin to question the validity of our own thoughts, that conditioning begins to fracture.
The initial awareness that “maybe I’m wrong” isn’t a sign of weakness; it is the first measure of actual sovereignty.
Take some time and space to be alone with your thoughts, away from the constant barrage of repetitive messaging, to see what is true and what is merely assertion.
Cultivating open mindedness is looking for evidence that explicitly challenges our view. If we find ourselves avoiding alternative perspectives, we should ask ourself what we’re afraid of discovering.
Take it for granted that your mind is brainwashed.
Look at it.
Realise that which acknowledges that consciousness has been diverted.
Meditation clarifies consciousness by merely resting in awareness.
