The Dharma Is In Life, Not In A Book

The real Dharma is the raw experience of realisation that we are pure consciousness, rather than an academic theory in a book written by someone else. This direct experience is not subjective, but objective awareness which is, by definition, esoteric. Whatever everyone can read in a book or text is exoteric.

Others’ words – even the Buddha’s – can put doubt into the minds that it has to be like this or that, creating the feeling that we aren’t good enough which makes us needy.

We should be aware of whatever we put into our mind.
