BORN INTO A WAY OF LIFE

Born Into A Way Of Life

We’re all are born into a tradition; a way of life. We can change traditions, but we are still the same consciousness. All we’re doing is swapping a set of ideas and names.

Our problem is that those around us believe that their tradition or way of life is the only one, and mistake that specific construct of ideas for reality itself. This creates friction between individual conscious awareness, and the collective conditioning of society, as questioning tradition feels like a threat to identity and safety.

When we realise that traditions are just parcels of concepts, consciousness is free.

We can hold our perspective quietly without needing outer validation or agreement, while participating in the external rituals of a tradition when necessary for social harmony, while internally remaining completely detached.

Having achieved a level of mental freedom allows us to see the script of life rather than just acting in it. The challenge now is learning to live among the actors without letting their commitment to the script disrupt our peace.

We are in the world,
but not of it.

We’re no longer its product.
We’ve loosened the wrapping paper!
