The Great Rude Awakening
Accepting the total rawness of life
Is total relief from that suffering.
And that rawness never goes away.
Covering up the rawness with cleverness,
we become arrogant and annoying,
and cause problems for others.
When we were born we weren’t clever,
but awake and aware.
We were taught to go back to sleep.
Realisation is being reborn.
Being unattached to knowing anything,
we may appear outrageous.
In our imperfection, we can be perfect.
Rude:
-
Referring to a taboo subjects.
-
Having a startling abruptness.
-
Lacking sophistication
-
Ignorant’ and uneducated.
From Latin rudis: unwrought, uncultivated; related to rudus ‘broken stone’.
