When We Believe, We Worship The Devil/Mara
It’s very easily done. Belief is acceptance without knowing; it’s an imaginary projection on the walls of our mind.
When we know, we realise the word ‘God’ is another name for pure consciousness, the essence of all sentient beings. God is never out there.
The trap of the Devil/Mara represents illusion, desire and the distractions of the material world. Projecting attention onto an external object keeps a person trapped in duality and delusion. Belief requires a gap between you and the object of faith; it is not a union.
The realisation of absolute truth collapses that gap entirely. The truth within is the divine; it’s not to be feared or bartered with, but instead, is the very essence of consciousness. When we stop looking outward for a saviour or a judge, we open the door to experiencing reality directly.
NB Devil/Mara is ignorance which turns off empathy.
NB God is pure consciousness which turns on empathy.
NB Empathy is knowing how easily we are deceived.
