OUR DEFAULT SETTING

Our Default Setting

But whose default setting?

Our default setting can either be one chosen for us by our ‘makers’ – the ones who set our factory programming – or recognised by our original being. If it’s chosen for us, we become one of a type, commensurate with our aptitude.

If it’s our original setting,
we are an independent Buddha.

We can change this setting at any moment, but others will want to put us back in our designated place where they think we belong. When we actually change our setting, those who knew us won’t like it. This is how we can lose friends and family, and be at odds with other practitioners.

It’s like reincarnating within this lifetime. We aren’t the same person, but there is a residue from our past – same body, voice and mental history – but the view is different. We aren’t reacting in the same old way.

It’s bit of a juggling act … until we finally totally let go.
