Being Carried Away
When we hear or read something we have already decided on the outcome – before we’ve even have got to the end. This is our life – being carried off by ideas.
When we look at something or someone, our brain has already lit up before we are conscious of the fact. Be aware: when we condemn something or someone, what are we replacing it with?
It is an obscure, hard-to-define, dark world which deceives us at every moment. So what do we replace it with? We don’t. We merely have to be aware that people are deceived, without condemning them.
It is but a reminder that our true reality of pure consciousness is present. Reality is not in what we see, hear or read. In this way, we rest in the inseparability of dark and light, never being carried away by opposites or sides.
In not being carried away, we remain balanced on the knife-edge of reality – not too tight and not too loose.
